Dr. Rodney Bates has been a board-certified Internal Medicine physician in this area since 2005, specializing in general adult medicine. His special interests include management of diabetes, high blood pressure, critical care and inpatient services at Madison Memorial, and bowel endoscopy services with Colonoscopy and EGD.
Dr. Bates was born and raised in Murtaugh Idaho a small farming community near Burley and Twin Falls. He attended Brigham Young University in Provo Utah, graduating in business management, and then attended medical school in Kirksville Missouri at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency training in Michigan.
He enjoys spending time with his wife Marlisa Bates and their 8 children. He is very happy to be serving patients in the Rexburg and surrounding areas.
