Bruce Barton, was born and raised in Rexburg, Idaho. He served an LDS mission to Ecuador.
His undergraduate schooling was done at Ricks College and Idaho State University. He attended medical school at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois and completed his OB/GYN residency in San Diego, California at Balboa Naval Hospital. Dr. Barton is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
After residency, Dr. Barton served in the military at the N.A.T.O. base in Keflavik, Iceland and also at Cherry Point Marine Air Station in Havelock, North Carolina. In 1994 he returned to Rexburg after finishing his military service.
Dr. Barton and his wife, Connie, have four children and one grandchild. His interests include computers, photography, and dirt biking.
