 Dr. John Allred is a board-certified gynecologist and obstetrician.

 

He obtained his Bachelor’s degree at Brigham Young University and his Master’s at Weber State University. Dr. Allred attended medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and completed his residency at William Beaumont-William Hospital. In 2002 he and his family moved to Rexburg.

 

“Not only do I deliver babies, but I get to see them grow up,” Dr. Allred says about working in Rexburg. He focuses on listening to his patients. “Eighty-five percent of medicine is just listening,” he says.

 

Dr. Allred has three children. The oldest two are on the Pro Form Airborne competitive jump rope team and the youngest enjoys art. His favorite pastime is traveling and spending time with his family. He coaches soccer in Rexburg and played for the BYU and Weber State University soccer teams in college.
