Dr. Ronald Mills has practiced in Rexburg since 1993 as a board-certified, General Orthopedic Surgeon.

 

Dr. Mills was born and raised in Billings, Montana. He graduated from BYU in Provo, Utah with a degree in electrical engineering. He attended medical school at the University of Nevada School of Medicine graduating in 1988. He did a general surgical internship at Loma Linda University Medical Center (1988-1989), followed by an orthopedic residency, which was completed in 1993 with strong emphasis in trauma, hand, and joint replacement.

 

Dr. Mills has been board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery since 1995, and is also a member of the Idaho Medical Association and American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He treats injuries of the upper and lower extremities including fractures; ligament and cartilage tears; tendon and muscle tears. He also performs arthroscopic knee, shoulder, ankle, and wrist surgery as well as repairs rotator cuffs. He is also experienced in knee and hip replacement surgery.

 

In 2002, Dr. Mills was certified as a Clinical Densitometrist and has a Dexa Bone Densitometry Machine in his office.

 

He is married to Carrie and has four children, and five grandchildren. He is interested in skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, and music. He also speaks Spanish fluently.
