Dr. Douglas Cottrell was raised in Raytown, MO, a suburb of Kansas City.
He graduated with honors from Graceland University in Lamoni, IA. He graduated from Kansas City University Hospital, Kansas City, MO in 1982. Dr. Cottrell practiced in the Midwest for the next 24 yrs until moving to Idaho in 2004. During his tenure in the Midwest, he was on the teaching faculties of University Hospital, St. Louis Children’s Hospital and the University of Nebraska School of Medicine. Dr. Cottrell is a recognized Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
He and his wife, Patty, enjoy camping, church activities, and their two grandsons. Dr. Cottrell practices general pediatrics with special interests in neonatology, asthma, and ADHD.
